COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course is presented with the latest international  evidenced based teaching DVD’s, power point presentations and interactive practical skills.

Curriculum includes;

Principles of first aid and safety; Emergency Scene Management. Initial patient assessment.

CPR, AED, artificial respiration & choking. (AHA accredited instructors).

Bleeding

Burns

Getting Help - how to access appropriate emergency services. Emergency telephone numbers.

Bruises, strains & sprains

Eye injuries;- foreign body, trauma

Fractures & dislocations

Head & face injuries

Heart attack

Minor Injuries;- blisters, nose bleeds, scrapes & grazes, splinters

Poisoning

Shock

Spinal injury

stings & bites

First Aid equipment

 

Course Structure

We can accommodate 15 students for First Aid level one,  two or  three,  with a minimum of 8 students per course.  The course can be conducted on site of your organization.

Additional instructors & equipment will be utilized if there are more than 15 students on course.
